s. f. pl. Híláṇ. (M.), ) A soft wind:—híl hujjat, s. f. Pretences, subterfuges, evasions:—híláṇ karníáṇ, mann jáṉíáṇ, mannaṉíáṉ, v. a. To acknowledge all lost to give up a dispute, to submit:—ghulí wá ghul pai híláṇ, ráhoṇ wal áwíṇ Ráṇjhwá kaí powiní dalíláṇ. The wind is blowing; soft breezes are blowing, oh Ráṇjho! turn back on vour way; may some excuse (for doing so) occur to you!—Song.
