ਅ਼. [حُقّہ] ਹ਼ੁਕ਼ਹ. ਸੰਗ੍ਯਾ- ਡੱਬਾ। ੨. ਮਰਤਬਾਨ। ੩. ਤਮਾਕੂ ਆਦਿਕ ਦਾ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਪੀਣ ਦਾ ਯੰਤ੍ਰ. "ਹੁੱਕੇ ਸੇ ਹੁਰਮਤ ਗਈ ਨੇਮ ਧਰਮ ਗ੍ਯੋ ਛੂਟ." (ਗਿਰਿਧਰ)

s. m, Corrupted from the Arabic word Huqqah. An earthen, leather or metallic pipe, a tobacco pipe:—hukká bharṉá, v. a. To fill the chilm:—hukká páṉí, s. m. lit. Smoking and drinking; social intercourse:—hukka páṉí baṇd karná, chhekṉá, v. a. To excommunicate from one's caste:—hukke páṉí dí sulá karní, mární, v. a. To ask for smoking and drinking:—hukká píṉá, v. n. To smoke the hukká:—hukká tájá karná, v. a. To change the water of the hukká.
