s. m, Corrupted from the Arabic word Hauz. A pond, a tank, a vat, a reservoir, the basin of a fountain:—gáṇḍ phaṭṭ ke haud hoṉí, v. n. lit. To be cracked (the anus) like a pond; to work very hardly; to be in a great fright.
