To gratify (one's) desire, to fulfil the wishes (of); answer the prayer (of):—ás rakkhṉá or hoṉá, v. a. To entertain or cherish a hope; to desire, to look (to), to expect (from), to repose trust in, to have confidence in;—ásá vaṇt, or vaṇtí, s. m., f. One who is hopeful, an expectant.
