A landing place for boats, a quay, a wharf, a ford; a bathing place in a stream or on a tank; a place in a stream where washermen wash their clothes; a gorge through which a stream passes; deficiency, loss; a collection of gold and silver for jeweller's purposes; the form and shape of jewels; the workmanship of a jeweller, brazier, blacksmith;—s. f.
