s. m. (M.), ) Thick, close together, dense (used of trees and plants):—gháṭṭá ánṉá hoṉá, paiṉá, sahiṉá, uṭháuṉá, v. a. n. To incur or suffer a loss; to lose, to fall:—gháṭṭá bharná, v. n. To make up a loss or damage:—bahúṇ chatráí te akal dá gháṭṭá. Extreme sharpness shows a want of sense:—Sáwaṉ wáhe te Katteṇ raháe, Poh piláe, te gháṭṭá múl ná cháe. He who ploughs in Sáwaṉ, sows in Kátak and waters in Poh will suffer no loss at all.—Prov.
