s. m, plant (Sambucus Ebulus, Nat. Ord. Caprifoliacea) which is found abundantly at many places in the upper parts of the basins of the Chenab and Jhelum. Its smell, especially when bruised, is most fœtid, resembling that of burnt flesh. Tinder is said to be made from its bark on the Chenab.
