s. f, fine tall nettle (Urtica heterophylla, Nat. Ord. Urticaceæ) with immense leaves and a vigorous sting, which is not uncommon in many places in the Punjab Himalaya. Its stems are often employed for making twine and ropes by the dry process, but these are not prized, and are destroyed quickly when wet.
