s. f. (M.), ) The Crotalaria juncea, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ cultivated generally for its fibre in the plains, except in the extreme north-west. It is usually sown in strips round other crops, but may at times be in patches alone. It is sometimes called the female of Saṉ plant;—s. m. A plant (Crotalaria Sericea, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ resembling the Juncea which is cultivated as a garden flower:—sanní dá bíj, s. m. The seeds of Hibiscus cannabinus, Nat. Ord. Malvaceæ, used as a demulcent.
