s. m, Corrupted from the Arabic word Etebár. Confidence, trust, belief, faith; respect, character, regard, consideration:—etibár jáṇde rahiṉá v. a. To lose one's credit; c. w. karná, rakkhṉá:—be etibár, a. Uncredible, unreliable. See be-atbár in Atbár:—banne sawáṇdṛí dá jheṛá, etibár kare kehṛá. Who can believe that the neighbours will continue to fight; i. q. Atbár, Itbár.
